On this program we talk with British guitarist and songwriter Peter Kirtley.
A musician of many sides he combines an intricate acoustic technique with a smoldering electric style of playing with lyrics often focusing on social issues. He’s recorded and toured with artists including Sonny Boy Williamson, Alan Price of the Animals, Alan White of Yes, blues singer Lianne Carol, guitar legend Bert Jansch and Pentangle, and collaborated for charity with Paul McCartney.
We begin in a small factory town in the early days of rock and roll as we move through Blues, 60s Pop and Psychedelia, Swedish Funk and Celtic Rock.
