On this program we talk with British guitarist Peter Kirtley about his albums with legendary Scottish acoustic guitarist and songwriter, Bert Jansch.
Peter Kirtley had recorded and toured with a variety of artists including Sonny Boy Williamson, Alan Price of the Animals and Alan White of Yes, before collaborating with Bert Jansch and joining Pentangle.
Bert was coming off the 1988 album Leather Launderette with Lindisfarne’s Rod Clements and recovery from a significant threat to his health from years of drinking. Newly sober, the albums with Peter Kirtley would represent a new beginning.
